The coronavirus pandemic has made that challenging, to say the least. But millions of single Americans are finding ways. Some have attempted socially distanced outings, others have turned to steamy video chats, while still others have tried international online dating as people adapt the art of seduction to the virus era — and dating apps are finding ways to adjust. In normal times, Kate Earle, a year-old teacher in Washington, finds it fairly easy to connect in person with men she finds attractive at first glance on Tinder. Earle said those conversations also seem to veer more often toward “online sexual interaction,” but she added that she has never considered breaking lockdown rules for an in-person date. The Great Lockdown has driven single people around the world to online dating apps in record numbers. Tinder saw an all-time high in usage on March 29, with more than three billion “swipes,” and the number of messages exchanged on rival app Bumble increased 26 percent over a two-week period in March in the United States. The lockdown order came at the worst possible time for Beatrice, who was newly separated from her husband and living in the US capital. Since then, she has found herself bending some of the confinement rules to improvise outings with her new acquaintances. So you end up taking off the mask after five minutes.

The Natural History Museum in London is considered one of the finest in the world of its kind. In particular, this is one of London’s best family friendly attractions. In addition to the worldly possessions within, the building itself is a London landmark and well worth examining to see the interesting architectural styles incorporated into its late 19th century design. Within The Waterhouse you will find the Natural History museum, which is huge, requiring considerable time to visit extensively.
There are over 80 million items held, partitioned between four colour-coded zones. Considering the museum’s size and scale and because most visitors will have limited time on their hands, it is well worth having a game plan in mind before making your visit. This can allow visitors to maximise their time in the museum.

IT IS the question of romance that has taxed some of the greatest minds: what matters more looks or personality? Now the Science Museum has sought to answer the conundrum by getting Londoners to go speed-dating with a paper bag over their heads. The 60 singles at the event could only impress fellow daters by using their personality, and by writing one fact about themselves on their paper bag. Scientists aimed to discover if, amid the rise of the selfie and the popularity of dating apps based on appearance, people are becoming increasingly superficial when choosing a date.
Psychologist Andrea Kallias said she wanted to see if conversation rather than looks can drive dating decisions. But it is an experiment and we will see what happens. Each person had two minutes to talk to each other, and at the end of the night filled in a form to say who they wanted to go on a date with.
